The article that documents the first part of this project, One Camera One Month, can be found here. There I talked about the first six months of 2025 and why I started this project. Basically, considering all the stress and chaos I have been going through since last year, my goal for this year was to make things as easy as possible. That meant not using my usual method of having many cameras loaded at a time making it hard to keep track of everything I was working on. This is the final six months of that endeavor and my thoughts on it.

July – Minolta XE 7
Buy a Minolta XE-7 on eBay

The Minolta XE-7 has been a really nice addition to my collection. It is special to me because Alex Luyckx sent it to me with a special letter to commemorate my becoming a parent in 2022. I consider him to be a good friend to me and I carry that letter in my notebook ever since.
This was my first Minolta, and I was excited to see what the infamous #MinoltaGang is always talking about.
I used the 45mm f2 for the first time with this roll and for some reason all but these two photos came out of focus. I will have to investigate what may have gone wrong or if something is wrong with the lens itself. One of the other lenses Alex sent was the Rokkor-X 50mm f1.7 and it’s great.
The camera is very smooth and comfortable. I enjoy using it, and I look forward to doing a formal review soon.

Kodak TX 400
August – Hasselblad 500 c/m
Buy a Hasselblad 500 C/M from KEH or eBay

For August I decided to bring out the Hasselblad 500 c/m. This is a camera I have had for a long time now and I really don’t shoot with it enough. Without a doubt it is a beautiful camera and I think most photographers recognize the brand.
I use the waist level finder most of the time because I just love looking down into the bright ground glass. the lenses are amazing, Any Zeiss lens I have used has been great in my experience. I definitely want to review this one soon. I haven’t yet because I’ve made it a point when I started my channel/website to share the more affordable and more accessible cameras and I have found that to be the most helpful.

However now I want to start sharing more cameras that I have found to just be beautiful and professional as I become more experienced in photography. So stay tuned!

September – Nikon F

Buy a Nikon F from KEH or eBay
I have written extensively about my favorite SLR the Nikon F. There was no way I was going to go a whole year without picking it up. So the camera for September was my Nikon F with prism finder and the Nikkor 50mm f2 pre ai version. I am loving this lens and will be reviewing it soon.

October – Fuji GF670

Buy a Fuji GF670 from eBay.
For October I wanted to use up some of the medium format film I have in the fridge so I chose to shoot with the Fuji GF670. This is another special camera for me because it came to NY with me to say goodbye to my grandmother. It recorded a lot of my wife’s pregnancy.
It is an amazing camera that is compact and just an all around workhorse. I was very hesitant when I first purchased it years ago because it is reliant on a battery. I almost always want a mechanical camera, but the trade offs have been well worth the risk.

Kentmere Pan 400

My Zines are on sale for the holidays if you would like to pick one up or the series, it’s always appreciated.
November – Rolleiflex Automat

Buy a Rolleiflex Automat at KEH or at eBay.
The Rolleiflex Automat, next to my Leica M2, is a camera I want to always have in my family. You can read about why in my other articles.
As always, this camera and its Xenar lens, takes these beautifully emotional images. By emotional I mean that there is just something about the bokeh and the way the Rollei renders photos that evokes a feeling. I have just always loved the look it gives me. I’m deeply attached to this camera.

December – Mamiya C330

Buy a Mamiya C330 from KEH or eBay.
For the final month of what has been an extremely tumultuous year for me and my family, I chose the Mamiya C330. This is an odd camera to chose for taking everyday photos, but I love the close focus it has with its bellows.
Surprisingly, despite being a studio type camera, I didn’t find it to be too heavy or awkward to carry around. It couldn’t hang around my neck like others, but I held it fine.

Final Thoughts on One Camera One Month 2025
This little experiment was a lot of fun and most of all it served its purpose of making photography less chaotic for the year. I ended up with alot less film to develop than usual. That is helpful because I have a large backlog of film I need to develop from the past two years. It also helped me to focus more on photography rather than gear. I tend to get overwhelmed with choices, and just like being a mood reader, I choose my cameras based on my mood as well. Taking a break from that really helped me to focus on photography which is something I want to start really leaning into. I want to start selling prints and sharing my photography more than just always being known for my cameras.
While the year as a whole has probably been ONE of the worst ones of my life, I am so grateful to have these cameras and this passion for photography because it has served as so much more than a hobby for me.
Next year I am not sure if I will do this again. I would like to create some other goals, but it is something I highly recommend and something I know I will do in the future. If you’d like to ever purchase a print let me know in a DM.
Until next time, stay motivated and keep shooting.
