Lately I’ve been shooting a lot more medium format than I usually do. I’m still basically shooting with my 35mm cameras everyday, but sometimes I just crave the beauty and clarity of a medium format photo. So I shot a couple rolls with my Pentax 67 and Mamiya RB67. Here are 4 shots of Ilford HP5 400 in Medium Format.
Jasmine, my Maine Coon that I am sure you have seen before, is my little shadow. She follows me everywhere I go in the house, and lies in the rooms I am in. If she doesn’t feel like following me, she sleeps in the room upstairs until she hears me come by the stairway. In which case she stands there waiting for me to come up.
I just thought it was so sweet and I had to capture it on film. So, I lugged the giant Mamiya RB67 on a tripod to the bottom of the stairs and had to figure out how I was going to get her to sit still while I took a long exposure. Somehow I managed.
I bought the Pentax 67 mainly for a project I have been working on for a while now, so I don’t bring it out often. Since it is exhausting to carry the RB67 around, I used the Pentax 67 for regular photos while relaxing with Kelsey one day. Its SLR style makes it much easier in situations like that.
